David Gosse – Chairman
of the Board
David Gosse is the Founder and President of Vortaloptics
Inc. He is the chief innovator and oversees all operations
and development for the company. Over seven years
ago, David envisioned a customizable vertical search engine
before the terms "portal" or "vortal (vertical market portal)" were
ever coined. David has served on the Board of Directors
of numerous companies and has extensive skills in sales,
finance, strategic planning, taxes, accounting, legal,
graphic design, marketing, programming, IT infrastructure,
management, and HR. David is a tireless and dedicated
entrepreneur, who has co-founded and built several
companies. He has been the lead visionary of the
company since its inception and is committed to bringing
the remarkable technology to market by the best and most
profitable means.
Emilio DeLia – President
Mr. De Lia brings special qualifications to Educated
Search because of his extensive 30 plus year business experience.
As executive director, he had full P&L and asset responsibility
for a variety of businesses including international data
communications services, computer services and networked
computing services. Mr. De Lia has also led many technical
support and sales operations wherein he used information
technology, extensive training, and commitment attitudes
in his people to spur performance and handle growth. In
the role of strategist, Mr. De Lia created growth strategies
for businesses ranging from start ups to mature business
with revenues in excess of $20 billion. His strategies
determined investment and program decisions. Mr. De Lia
has also negotiated and implemented major mergers and acquisitions.
These M&A’s achieved their financial goals largely
because of the business, operations, and human resource
plans he developed.
Particularly relevant for Educated Search, Mr. De Lia has
also been an educator in variety of settings. His first
employment experience was as a classroom teacher in a public grammar
school working with communications challenged children. He led training
groups in industry and has taught at the university level. Mr. De Lia
holds an MBA from Rutgers University in finance and is currently an “ABD” Ph.
D. candidate in Rutgers University Business School.
Mr. De Lia has served on numerous boards of private and
public institutions. He is past President of the Board of the Green
Pond Corporation and past Board Chairman of the Mount Carmel Guild
of Hudson County. He has served as board member for the C.G. Jung Foundation
and the Catholics Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark.
Dr. Joseph Pompeo – Board of Directors-Education
Consultant
Dr. Pompeo is the Principal of Wallington Jr. /Sr. High
School, located in Bergen County, New Jersey. He has served in
that capacity for the past 17 years. During his tenure at Wallington,
he coordinated the technology integration program in the critical areas
of hardware deployment, connectivity, digital content, integration
and use, and professional development. In 2002, he was the recipient
of the prestigious New Jersey Principals of the Year Program:
Rewarding Visionary Leadership.
Dr. Pompeo began his career as a business teacher in 1976
and taught until 1988 when he became the Assistant Principal
at Bogota High School. He served two years in that capacity before assuming
the Principalship at Wallington. A graduate of Rutgers University
with a degree in Business Administration, Pompeo earned teaching certification
from St. Peter's College, a Master's Degree from New Jersey City University
and earned credits towards an MBA from Montclair State University. He
completed his doctoral studies at Rutgers University. The impact
of computer integration on the educational programs of
secondary schools was the focus of his dissertation study.
A past president of the Bergen County Secondary School
Principals and Supervisors Association, Dr. Pompeo is actively
involved with the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association
(NJPSA). He
is completing his second term as Treasurer of NJPSA, while also serving
on the Board of Directors. Other professional affiliations include
the National Association of Secondary School Principals,
Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, International
Society for Technology in Education and International Reading Association.
Jennifer Gosse -Technology Advisor
Leading the development of Educated Search, Jennifer excels in
business and sales channel development and marketing, with
a focus on search engine and online methods. Before joining Educated Search,
Jennifer served as VP Marketing for Vortaloptics, a software
development and marketing firm. Her role at Vortaloptics includes building several
marketing channels for Vortaloptics, including a Master
Distributor channel which licensed technology to companies such as a local search
engine advertising franchise, radio stations and marketing
service providers. Past roles include VP Business Development at Personal Research
Corporation of New York, where she was instrumental in
growing its customer base and revenues through national TV and Internet marketing
campaigns. She also held management positions focusing
on marketing, customer relationship management and research and development at
consumer advocacy and Internet organizations.
Paul Kaliades – Board
Member – Business
Development and Growth Advisor
With more than 20 years of corporate and management experience,
Paul Kaliades has earned a national reputation for guiding
companies through critical stages of development. Paul
also has a rich educational background having served as
a secondary school administrator, teacher, and coach. Prior
to joining Renters Legal Liability Insurance, a national
provider of community based renter’s liability programs, as President
in April, 2006, Kaliades was president and partner of SureDeposit,
the nation’s leading provider of security deposit alternatives
for the multifamily industry. Prior to joining SureDeposit
as vice president in 2000, Kaliades oversaw marketing and management
for a portfolio of more than 70 buildings totaling 11,000 units located
throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware as executive
vice president for The Kamson Corporation. From 1997 to 1999, Kaliades
served as president of NJAA, whose membership doubled during his tenure.
Kaliades earned a B.A. in economics from Columbia University and an
M.A. degree in Public Administration from New Jersey City University.
Brian Parks –IT and Support
Manager, Vortaloptics and We Are Network.
A Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Manager
specialist, Brian has over 10 years of ecommerce-centered
Web and graphic design experience. He has integrated
numerous front and back-end systems into multi-tiered
database environments. Brian personally oversees
client installation and support to ensure the highest of quality and
client satisfaction. He specializes in ITIL based support systems
and is an expert in Web-based training and Webinar technologies
bringing a wealth of classroom-style teaching experience to the Vortaloptics
team.
